HIO Career Days for Girls
STEM career guidance workshops designed for high school girls in Nepal, featuring career day programming and mentorship frameworks.
Overview
As Curriculum Developer at Hands In Outreach (HIO), I designed and coordinated STEM career day workshops for high school girls in Nepal. These workshops introduced participants to STEM career pathways, connected them with women mentors in technology and science fields, and provided hands-on activities to spark interest in careers traditionally underrepresented by women in Nepal.
The career programming was connected to HIO's "Reach for the Stars" Higher Education Scholarship Program, which supports college-bound girls with career counseling, mentorship, and scholarship resources. Over 50 participants engaged in this combined career and higher education pathway.
